Nick is a lawyer with a passion for advocacy and smart public policy. Born and raised in Southern Ontario, he currently lives with his partner, Christina, in Scarborough.

 

After having lived across various regions of this wonderful country practising corporate and community law - in Vancouver BC, Calgary AB, and Cambridge Bay, NWT - he has chosen to return to Scarborough, Ontario, to help build a successful and sustainable future for himself, his family, and his home province.

 

Nick recently completed a Masters’ of Public Administration (MPA) at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario while on sabbatical. He holds a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of British Columbia and an Honours Degree (B.A. Hons.) in Political Science from Western University.

It is his fiscally conservative, socially progressive, and environmentally protective values that led him to support the Green Party of Ontario – the only party whose policies and platforms balance these considerations.

The son of a family farmer and a small business owner, he has solid financial insight and understands the importance of our natural wealth in securing our long-term well-being.

 

His time as a human rights advocate in West Africa, where he provided pro bono legal services to low-income individuals and communities, has given him an intimate awareness of the deep privilege it is to be Canadian and to live on this land – a privilege he believes the Green Party will help secure for future generations.

 

Nick promotes evidence-based policies and believes that leadership entails stepping away from partisan restraints and moving beyond the political spectrum to embrace principles of justice, compassion, and cooperation. “These are the principles that will help us fight climate change, lessen poverty, and decrease our deficit together,” he says.
